With a Rebel yell she cried more, more, more!
The new 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel has been named ‘Off-road Pickup Truck of the Year’ at a prestigious event featuring some of the biggest challengers aiming to win the hearts of drivers.
An invitational event hosted by the Texas Motor Press Association (TxMPA) contained a strong field of pickups, SUVs and crossover vehicles.
Its media panel evaluated the competitors over a multi-day series of challenges that included a mud-filled obstacle course designed to showcase off-road capability and technology.
“This award is very significant, as Texas is the world’s single largest truck market, accounting for 20 per cent of global full-size truck sales,” said delighted Stuart Laurie, head of Ram brand in the Middle East. “So when it comes to trucks they not only have very high expectations, but really know what they’re talking about!”
Based on the new 2019 Ram 1500, it boasts unique design cues and off-road components backed by Ram Truck engineering, and according to dealers has become the ‘perfect vehicle’ for Middle East drivers looking to explore away from the beaten track.
The Rebel comes standard with a factory lift or optional air-suspension for added ground clearance. The 33-inch tyres, electronic-locking rear axle, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, tow hooks and other off-road-ready features also appeal to owners looking for adventure.
